Just a quickie..
No, not that sort..!
I’ve realised that if you’ve subscribed to this blog using the link on the right hand side of my site that means you receive an email when I update it, you won’t have been able to see the video in my last post..
So, click here to see it in all it’s glory! (you may have to scroll down a bit..)

What you’ve Really ALL always wanted to see…
So, in my previous post, you got a glimpse at the inside of a mouse ball, and the process I went through to find out.
Well, I thought a video might be more informative, so…!
Something we’ve ALL Always wondered..
So you’re at your computer.
You’re moving the mouse around.
You’re bored.
You look underneath the mouse.
You see that funny switch that, when turned, allows the mouseball to fall out.
You hold the surprisingly solid and heavy rubber ball, roll it about a bit, and then put it back.
But you always wonder..
What is that mouse ball really made of…?
Well, I have answers!
I found a spare mouse ball rolling around in my drawer, and went to work.
Step 1:
Take out the mouse ball from the underside of the mouse:
Step 2:
Carve, with a smooth blade, around the circumference of the ball. The blade won’t go very deep.
Once you’ve gone all the way around, peel one of the domes off:
Step 3: Take out the metal ball, and marvel!
For those not able to perform the procedure themselves, the metal ball is less dense/heavy than it may appear, but does explain why rubber mouseballs feel so heavy for their size!
Also note just how smooth the inside of the rubber is!
You’re welcome.. x
